Johnny Blogger: So Trendy!

At the Wild Apple Institute for Trend Research*, we just had a fascinating study come across our desk (well, computer) from the High Point Market Authority. It is a Styles and Trends Survey of Home Décor that polled interior designers and retailers of home accents, furniture and gifts.

Wild Apple had no connection whatsoever to the study, but there’s an uncanny similarity between the survey’s findings and the artwork Wild Apple has to offer:

• Comfortable, casual, clean, crisp – these are the words used by the study to summarize current trends at retail. Can you think of any better words to describe Wild Apple’s artwork?

• “Gardening or Botanical” came out as the clear #1 theme/motif for consumers and retailers. In the art & licensing business, FLORAL imagery is Wild Apple’s absolute competitive advantage.

Very useful information about our business reality! Great reminder for artists like myself, who love Scandinavian contemporary, mixed with NY artist loft style :)

I met John when Wild Apple Graphics was a concept. Sold him his first ad in Decor magazine. It's been a treat to watch what Laurie and he have created and nourished. It is far from hyperbole to say it's been fascinating to have observed how they have helped transform the industry, their business, their artists and themselves. And, in their case, as the current lingo goes, "It's all good!"

That phrase would certainly define the contents of this blog. It's a pure reflection of John...breezy, self-effacing, erudite, insightful, honest, thoughtful, playful and serious.

Well done John, keep up the good work. Oh and BTW, you've inspired me to move my blogging to this format from the hatched version you find on my Website...Buy ART indeed!
